  • Wyndham’s co-branded credit cards are offering increased welcome bonuses until October 14, 2021.
  • With these offers, you can earn up to double the usual number of bonus points.
  • You can redeem Wyndham points for award stays starting at 7,500 points per night.
  • Read Insider’s guide to the best travel rewards credit cards.

Wyndham might not be the first chain that comes to mind when you think of fancy stays or aspirational resorts, but its loyalty program is quite valuable — especially if you like to stretch your points at budget-friendly hotels or redeem rewards for vacation rentals.

The Wyndham Rewards program includes familiar brands like Ramada, Super 8, Days Inn, La Quinta, Travelodge, Howard Johnson, and Wyndham Grand — and through a partnership with Vacasa, members can access thousands of vacation rentals around the world.

The easiest way to earn Wyndham points is with the chain’s co-branded Barclays credit cards, and right now all three cards are offering elevated welcome bonuses for a limited time.

These increased offers are only available until October 14, 2021. Here’s what to know if you’re thinking of applying for a Wyndham credit card.

Wyndham Rewards credit card limited-time offers

Normally, the Wyndham credit cards offer sign-up bonuses of 30,000 points (for the no-annual-fee Wyndham Rewards® Earner Card) to 45,000 points (Wyndham Rewards® Earner Plus Card and Wyndham Rewards® Earner Business Card) after meeting minimum spending requirements.

If you complete both spending tiers on the new elevated offers, you’ll earn double the usual bonus — so if you’ve been on the fence about opening one of these cards, it’s a great time to apply.

Like the personal Wyndham Rewards® Earner Plus Card, you can earn up to 90,000 points — and while the card has a slightly higher $95 annual fee, it’s worth it if you can make the most of the card’s earning and perks.

If you have a Capital One card that earns miles, like the Capital One Venture Rewards Credit Card
or Capital One Spark Miles for Business
, you already have a way to earn Wyndham points.

Wyndham Rewards is a Capital One transfer partner, and the transfer ratio is 1 Capital One mile to 1 Wyndham point. The minimum transfer amount is 1,000 miles, but above that, you can transfer in 100-mile increments.

That said, because you can also redeem Capital One miles at a fixed rate of 1 cent each toward paid travel, it’s always best to compare how many miles you’d spend to offset a paid stay versus transferring to Wyndham for an award night.

Because many Wyndham hotels are inexpensive, you may find you’ll spend fewer miles by paying for the stay with your Capital One card and redeeming miles afterward to “erase” the purchase from your statement.
